Hi everyone! Just a VERY quick note before I head out to Karla & Jeff’s wedding & then leave for the airport, to let you know that the studio will be closed from March 6 to March 13. I am off to Las Vegas to keep current on my photography education & seek out new & fabulous products at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Trade Show and Convention!
I’ll also be working the Táve booth during WPPI Trade Show hours. Photographers, if you’re not currently using any studio management software to organize your clients, jobs, details and workflow and handle your online booking & contracting (and more) you NEED to check out Táve! Come see us at booth number 1135, right across from ProSelect! We’ll be previewing some key features from Táve 3.0, the next amazing release! I hope to see lots of you guys there, and don’t be afraid to come and say hi!
If you have sent a wedding or portrait inquiry in the past few days and are still awaiting information from me, I appreciate your patience during this extremely busy season and will be in touch with you as soon as I am back at a computer! Thank you!
So, it’s only the second month that I’m attempting to do these “Friday Finds” posts, and I’ve already missed my second post! Oops.. better late than never, and at least it’s still in the same month. Here are my Friday finds for February!
The theme for this month is “Baby Basics – ABCs, 123s, and Days of the Week” – such cute stuff!!!

Ciara and I have known each other for a long time, it seems. We met through a mutual friend, Kimra, whom I’ve known through the wonders of the internet for probably a good 12-15ish years. When Ciara moved to South Florida a couple years ago at the beginning of her relationship with Joe, Kimra came to visit, so we all got together for lunch and Ciara and I have kept in touch ever since! I am super stoked that she and Joe chose me to photograph her wedding!
Ciara and Joe’s relationship has grown here in Miami over the past five years. They’ve been living in Miami Beach and it’s a part of who they are together! They’ll be married this April at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and wanted their engagement session to be on the Beach, too. Joe came up with the idea of shooting at South Pointe Park, since a session on South Beach would represent their relationship over the years. I think that’s awesome and am so happy I had the opportunity to do such a meaningful session with them!
I invited my friend, photographer Daniel Lateulade, to come be my assistant for the afternoon! Thanks again Danny!!
Ciara and Joe, I really had a blast photographing the two of you the other day! Your wedding is going to be beautiful! Hope you like these teasers – I can’t wait to show you more!!

The first wedding of the year is always so very exciting, and I was WAY excited to shoot Christine and Justin’s wedding! Their wedding day was absolutely spectacular – a combination of the gorgeous couple, the amazing vendors who helped everything go smoothly, plus the beautiful venues we shot in (the wedding ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral in Miami & the reception at Miami Beach Resort & Spa). Thanks also to my awesome friend Jessica for shooting along side me that day!
On to the wedding… This blog post is pretty massive. There were lots of emotions flowing during the course of the day, LOTS of absolutely incredible details (many of them thanks to the incredibly fabulous wedding coordinator Letty of LMG Events), and so many beautiful images that I just couldn’t leave out! Nearly 50 photographs in this post, one of my largest wedding posts in a very long time!
I already had a great rapport with the couple thanks to the engagement session that we shot together in December – it was a great session and we really got to know each other and get comfortable over the course of a couple hours shooting. Looking back, since we didn’t have a lot of time to shoot portraits at the Resort on the wedding day, I think having done an engagement session with me really made Christine & Justin more comfortable with my shooting style and we were able to get some fabulous casual (and very classy) portraits utilizing different areas of the Resort in a very short amount of time!
I am really excited about all of the beautiful images that we captured of Christine, Justin, and their friends and family on their wedding day. I hope you two enjoy your images as much as I do!!!!
