The session I did last night with Kat and Rick was a bit bittersweet and sadder than most of my couples sessions.
Today, Kat is moving away to Boston to follow her dream of attending graduate school in Arts Administration, while Rick is still here in Florida, pursuing a degree in Marine Science. The couple has been together for about three or four years now. Seeing them alone, in their element, and having the chance to photograph them, it is obvious how close they are, and I know that they will make it through this tough time away from each other.
Normally, I don’t get blog posts up this quickly, but after we shot last night, I decided to do a quick edit and get some of my favorite images online today, so this beautiful couple would have some images of each other to hold on to as quickly as possible. It is hard to be away from someone you love so much, especially for such a long period of time, so I stayed up late last night to make sure they would see these soon.

Kat, I am so excited to hear about this next step in your life! Boston is amazing, and you are going to have a great time next month when Rick comes up to see you in your new home. I hope we’ll be able to see each other again really soon. xoxox
