Boy am I behind on blogging! I have a couple posts for you in the next day or so.
First up is Jerry & John’s wedding… this wedding is so special to me! Jerry contacted me way way back in July 2008 to tell me about the wedding that he and his partner John were planning for February. They were moving from Chicago to Florida and wanted to have their celebration on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Jerry and I immediately hit it off over the phone and over the next couple of months talked off and on about their plans. Finally, in late October, the couple moved to South Florida, and in the first week of November, we met up for a consultation. It was so great to finally meet in person… I knew their wedding was going to be amazing, and I was right!

This is Jerry… John bought him this awesome vintage microphone as a gift because he likes to sing. How cool is that??

Jerry was very emotional….
We took portraits next. I am so thankful to Jerry & John because of the time they left to do portraits while it was still light out! Thanks to their careful planning, we had plenty of time to take some incredible images both before and after the ceremony. I know they will treasure these forever!

Married at last!
Time for some post-ceremony portraits. These beach portraits are some of my favorites from the evening, particularly the close up black and white image. I just love the emotion that Jerry & John show in their photos. Anyone who looks at these images can see how obvious it is that they are completely in love!

Jerry & John’s cakes were designed by Susie’s Scrumptious Sweets and were absolutely delicious!!! The design is based off of the traditional Fort Lauderdale Beach design theme.
One of the guys had Key Lime flavored cake, and the other was flavored Dulce de Leche. As you can tell, they really enjoyed it! Image by Jessica.
