Today’s the day!! It’s time to announce the winners of the very first ever Karen Lisa Photo Contest! :)
I got an absolutely INSANE amount of contest entries. It was surprising and amazing to me how many people submitted entries and I was so excited to receive all of your entries! It was very hard to choose and I really want to photograph so many of the people who entered this contest. I loved hearing all of your stories, learning about things you all have overcome, what you want to celebrate in life, and what you are struggling with, still. There were SO many deserving people and so many of you sound like you’ll be so much fun to photograph.
the GRAND PRIZE WINNER is: JANETTE & CESAR FARIAS!!!
Janette and Cesar are one of my wedding couples from this past year and their story was extremely touching to me. When I received Janette’s entry, I felt a deep connection to what she wrote, and it actually brought tears to my eyes! Janette & Cesar are expecting their first child next year, a little boy. Since she lost her own mother when she was a teenager, having a photographic record of major family events is really important to her. She and Cesar wanted to win the session so that they would have these special emotions captured and could look back on their first pregnancy and remember all the amazing feelings that go along with it.
Janette & Cesar have won a full portrait session with me and they’ll also be receiving a 16×20 fine art print to display in their new home! CONGRATS!!!
