From the first time that I talked on the phone with Sabrina, I felt a great connection! It could have been the fact that we grew up in the same area, have some of the same friends, and are about the same age – oh, and can’t forget our love of the University of Florida (I love my gator brides!)!!! …but I knew that if anyone could do a fabulous job shooting her wedding, it would be me! :)

Fast forward a few months and it was time to shoot their engagement session. I had a great time finally getting to know Sabrina & Sean in person! We had fun shooting at Delray’s Colony Beach Club, and I knew that we were going to get along splendidly on their wedding day. I felt that if their wedding day was anything like our engagement shoot, I was in for a very laid back day filled with good times and amazing photos — and I was right!

Their wedding was my last of 2011 and we went out with a bang! The location was Delray Beach’s Old School Square with a reception at the incredible vintage gymnasium! There were so many wonderful elements hand-crafted by the bride, groom, and their family (seriously, check out the incredible fabric bouquets and the groom’s boutonniere), and I am so pleased with the way their images turned out!

I liked Bridget immediately from our first email exchange regarding her wedding. She was just my kind of client – laid back, welcoming of my suggestions, and of course, excited about planning her wedding day. I loved her ideas for a simple and elegant affair overlooking the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. After meeting her and Eric in person, I knew that Jessica (my awesome 2nd shooter) and I were going to have blast shooting their wedding, and I was right – they had a gorgeous, classic event at the Pelican Grand, and with a small guest list, they were able to really celebrate to the fullest with their family and closest friends.

Last May, I photographed Carly and Darren’s engagement party, and I was incredibly thrilled when the couple asked me back to photograph their gorgeous wedding this past summer in Palm Beach! The couple got ready and had their first look and portraits at the incredible Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, and the wedding and reception were held at the beautiful Palm Beach Orthodox Synagogue. The decor featured a sweet French Country theme paired up with the couple’s love for all things music.  Laura Helm from Ashton Events was the amazing coordinator for the wedding who implemented all of the stunning details and kept things running smoothly along with her assistant, and Jessica and I had a blast shooting alongside Mary and her team from Key Moments Films who did an amazing job that night with the cinematography. Guests were kept dancing all night long by DJ Mike Kruz.

This past summer, we took a work related vacation up to Vermont on the occasion of Nikki & Raul’s wedding! The couple lives here in South Florida (and Nikki is actually our hair stylist!), but they hired me to come to Vermont, Nikki’s home state, to photograph their wedding. They are an incredibly fun couple (and jokesters too as you will see from the photo of Raul walking the moms down the aisle) and their wedding was a mix of themes of things they love — travel, their dogs, and their closest family and friends. It was a treat to shoot at The Essex, which is Vermont’s Culinary Resort. Everything was food-themed and the staff was so attentive and put the room together perfectly! Shooting Nikki & Raul’s destination wedding in Vermont was a real treat!

Thanks so much to Carrie Bombria of Carrie Ann Photography, an amazing Vermont wedding photographer, for being my 2nd shooter and assistant on the day of the wedding!

Raquel & Tommy’s wedding was, in one word, amazing! Full of incredible emotions, beautiful details (all created by Raquel, might I add) and complete with a stunning bride and handsome groom at one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Florida Keys… what more could I ask for?! Jessica came down to shoot with me and we had so much fun! The Cheeca Lodge is gorgeous, and Matilde and her team really had everything put together beautifully.

A few months ago I had the real pleasure of shooting Jennifer & Martin’s wedding at the gorgeous Eden Roc Hotel on Miami Beach, with my friend Gregory Paul from Gregory Paul Photography. Gregory is an amazing photographer whose work I really admire, so it was a lot of fun to shoot together and capture such a lovely wedding for this wonderful Bride and Groom.

You may remember Robin & David’s gorgeous wedding ceremony at the Boca Resort that I photographed last month. I’m back again with part 2 of their wedding – the intimate reception they had at Robin’s parents’ private home in Ft. Lauderdale! Everyone who attended the reception had a wonderful time, and Robin’s parents’ home was a great location for more beautiful wedding portraits!

Robin’s gorgeous pink & white bouquet was created by Xquisite Events and the delicious red velvet and vanilla cake was designed by We Take the Cake! The food was catered by Two Ugly Sisters Catering.

Congrats again, David & Robin! It was a pleasure photographing your wonderful wedding celebration. Your photos will be ready soon & I can’t wait to share with you the final results!

I was thrilled when Robin contacted me about shooting her and David’s wedding at the Boca Raton Resort & Club! Not only had they chosen a spectacular venue for their intimate wedding here in South Florida, but they were also a referral from one of my favorite weddings last year – Megan & Geoff, who were married at the Spanish River Library!

Robin & David chose to have a very intimate marriage ceremony with only their children and other immediate family members present, and the next day they held a big reception at Robin’s parents’ home in Ft. Lauderdale, where all of their extended family & friends could attend. It worked out wonderfully for them, and I look forward to sharing pictures from the reception very soon! Due to the intimate nature of their wedding, we were able to schedule extra time to take many gorgeous portraits of Robin & David, something I know they will treasure forever!

Robin, David, and the new “Robetkin” crew – it was such a pleasure to work with you and your family! I look forward to sharing the rest of your images soon and hope that you enjoy this “sneak peek”!!

When Kirenia contacted me about her & Matt’s wedding, I knew it was going to be a perfect match! She was getting ready at the beyond incredible Mondrian Hotel, a venue I absolutely love, and the ceremony was to be in South Beach with the reception at The Burger & Beer Joint, one of the most awesome hot spots in the South Beach area!

I had a blast with the couple on their engagement shoot in South Beach and knew the wedding was going to be amazing! I was right – Jessica second shot this wedding with me and we had a blast the entire day! The day was chock full of fun and surprises (most of which is too off the hook to even blog) along with some truly awesome photos and I am so excited to finally post these images!

I love the Rock N Roll feel to their wedding and the reception photos actually look like they are right out of a rock concert with the crazy colored lights! It was so much fun!

Megan and Cesar are a successful, fun-loving couple who got married at one of the most beautiful locations in the Keys — Pierre’s Restaurant! I absolutely LOVE shooting in the Keys and was thrilled to be working at Pierre’s since it is such a fab venue – from the stunning portrait backdrop it provides to the gorgeous sunsets, pristine beach, delicious food, and so much more. I just love it! Plus the in-house coordinator, Tina, was fabulous at keeping things moving smoothly.

The couple got ready over at the Cheeca Lodge, which is another awesome venue (which I’ll be shooting another wedding at this year!) and then headed over to Pierre’s for their First Look and ceremony. Megan & Cesar’s First Look is probably one of my very favorite first looks ever – the lighting was perfect, their expressions were perfect. There isn’t much more I can say, but “perfect.”

Megan is incredibly detailed and put together all of the bits and pieces of her wedding day all by herself. I was so impressed with her theme, beautiful color scheme, and gorgeous flower arrangements that she designed. They were so unique as they featured limes (yes, the fruit) right in the arrangements. Love love love it!

Overall it was a magical day for Megan, Cesar, and their families! I had a wonderful time photographing this wedding, and also want to make a shout out and thank you to my husband Adrian who shot this with me and took some seriously incredible images (he only shoots once or twice a year with me these days so it’s a treat getting to work with him)!
